Dear members and visitors:
On behalf of the Board of the Code Enforcement and Zoning Officials Association and as president I welcome you to our online community. We are grateful to all who have served or are currently serving on committees and the Board for CEZOA and I thank everyone who is involved in this organization. I look forward to working with current members and new members of CEZOA to keep this organization strong and prosperous.
As we move into future we want to hear from Maryland Code Enforcement and Zoning officials on what we could do to better serve them. In the next year I will be reaching out to those Cities who used to be members of our organization and those who haven’t heard from CEZOA in a while. I implore you to contact me or any of the Board members with suggestions or interests you would like CEZOA to visit. If you are a City with a new code enforcement or zoning enforcement program I urge you to join our members at one of our meetings. We look forward to assisting new departments and experienced departments alike to move their programs forward.
Many of our membership are certified through ICC or AACE. Our quarterly classes are generally recognized as continuing education credits towards these certifications and we plan to continue offering this benefit. Since so many of us are certified our members can offer assistance to those trying to become certified and those endeavoring for additional certifications. Again I urge anyone looking for continuing education credits or certification to contact any member of the Board for more information and how we can be of assistance.
Finally I would like to express my gratitude to the membership for the opportunity to serve as your president and Maryland Municipal League Board of Directors representative. I hope to exemplify the mission of the Association during my service. I look forward to hearing from all of you and seeing you at future programs and meetings.
Sincerely,
Jamie L. Braun
